Top Five Things That Are Semi-Annoying in 2007

As the holidays are continuing, in my area that I live and work, Philadelphia and King Of Prussia, I have noticed some things this past year that bug the crap out of me, hence my list! These are just a few, but i am just so extremely tired of these things, i think i'm gonna barf. sorry!

5) SEPTA- anyone that lives in Pennsylvania knows about our beloved South Eastern Public Transportation Authority aka SEPTA. Well, beloved might not be the word to use. Annoying and a pain would probably be better. You can always depend on the buses and trolleys to be crowded and smelly, cramped for those of use with longer legs, and almost always service with an attitude! What more is there to say?

4) Some Holiday Shoppers- As a person that works in one of the biggest malls in PA and also a fellow shopper, let me just say this about #4: A gift card is not a crown or entitles you to be king or queen. it's a piece of plastic that has 20 bucks on it.

3) Heely's- Yes, I see your awesome sneakers. And what's this? It has wheels built in on the bottom of them? Superb. And your able to glide across the ground without having to walk? Coolness. Not really. Seeing a kid go around and almost break their face in those darn shoes because they want to "glide" is just annoying in and of itself.

2) The Uniform- Hollister. Abercromie & Fitch. Aeropostale. American Eagle. If you live in Philadelphia, you might know what I mean when I say Uniform. I've noticed that if you are between the ages of, say, 13 to 20 ( wide age range, I know), it has been decided that these are the only stores that you are allowed to shop from, boys and girls alike, and no where else. If I see another bright zip up hood with "Hollister" emblazoned across the front with the fur-lined ear flap hat again...

And Number One Is......

1) Uggs!!!!!

Big surprise there. Everyone and their mom (including yours truly. My mother, not me) has a pair of these suckers. Short boots, tall boots, how will they choose? Well, I can't lie. I was tempted earlier this month as a Christmas presents from good ol' pops but thankfully Nordstroms was out of  my size, like everywhere else. The sales woman even said that they recieved a fresh shipment that morning of all styles, all sizes, but by 5pm, they were only left with sizes 6 and 8 in the short style.

If your like me, there are so many other alternatives in boot selections, like for example, the brand Sugar. They make awesome winter and spring boots that are extremely cute. And cheap : ). Not everyone has $160 to shove out for a pair of boots. Another brand is Vans. Yep, that's right. Vans has right this minute a boot made for girls that have faux fur lining and trim, velcro closing on the side, with a skull and cross bones button. And of course it has the signature waffle grip sole so that you don't fall on your tushy on that nasty ice. And guess what? The most they'll cost is $65.
